Seventeen
year old "Eli Blair" is a singer/ songwriter who hails from
Chicago. She accompanies herself with a unique and impressive finger-picking
style on the five string bass guitar and her thought provoking lyrics
defy her age. Eli attended Chicago's Academy for the Arts where she played
bass and flute in the jazz band.

Eli
pulled out her 5 string bass and played me few of her original songs,
after each song she sifted through her well worn song book and played
another. I listened to her lyics accompanied by her clever but soulful
bass patterns, and wondered how they would sound in my studio. Months
later we had the opportunity to record 'Superhero'.
