Mindscapes will summon an ambience to calm you. Accessing tranquillity, encouraging you to relax, transporting you to a sheltered and tranquil place in your mind. Forge an interval where you can elude the many stresses of your daily existence. Mindscapes offers energy with serenity at work or at home, to both adults and children. Mindscapes was produced expressly to furnish you with a non-invasive vehicle capable of conveying you to a calmer, more auspicious atmosphere -- a place in your subconscious where you can disconnect from immediate burdens while remaining inspired and pragmatic.

Mindscapes original design is based on a "psycho-acoustic" theory. Different harmonic clashes induce specific emotional impressions. The cycling sensation is not consciously audible but encourages both mind and body to synchronously respond to specific rhythms, something you feel within the distant reaches of both body and psyche.

8-minute downloads for meditation sequences. Download into your portable mobile device for your own personal Mindscapes Mediation playlist.

A little history about the creation of MindScapes:

The MindScapes music loop collection was created in 1985 on the Fairlight Music Computer. The idea was to create a music loop that filled the room with warmth and security by using specific harmonic structures, transforming the space for human focus and conversation enlightenment. Creating a seamless loop on any audio equipment at the time was impossible, I worked with Fairlight Instruments to create a music creation concept called a "Multitrack Sequencer" which allowed me to create music in the computer in multiple levels and loop the result for as long as I wanted. By pure coincidence the Mindscapes loop was first sold to the public on an audio cassette in the '90s at 30 minutes a side, later followed by a full CD for an hour experience, many Mindscapes CDs were sold. I tested the loop in various situations where people gathered and it made a large difference to the type of conversation, also beta listeners noticed the music helped them to focus on study and work while playing softly in the background. My infant daughter slept long and hard while the music loop sang in the background, keeping her in a peaceful state. 30 years later the music concept continues to resonate with us.

It's Like A Lullaby

By B. Peale

This review is from: MindScapes 3 - Satin Skies

Music to take you off to dreamland, especially if you have trouble sleeping. Love this so much that when I hear it come on my Sirius Radio in the middle of the night, I wake up listen and fall gently back to sleep.

I love this CD
By Ratchet
This review is from: Mindscapes, Vol. 3: Satin Skies

I first heard Satin Skies in 2002, played by a dearly loved teacher. I think almost everyone who took her workshops has ended up ordering this CD at one time or another. It invokes a feeling of calling in the Sacred, and if you are doing meditation, it takes you deeper just by playing it.

Great album for meditative work

By Alii M. Bek "Visionary Authoress" (Sedona, AZ, USA)
This review is from: MindScapes 3 - Satin Skies
Now, sometimes repetitive ambient music is great. I heard this first on xm radio, and bought the album because of the melancholy quality. Works great for me when I'm writing, helps me get into the space I need for my work. Love it!

Satin Skies by Mars Lasar

By JOSEPH "Joseph Brown" (Bonners Ferry, ID, United States)

This review is from: Mindscapes, Vol. 3: Satin Skies

I first heard the 10 minute cut on XM Radio. E-mailed and was told how to find it. I got all three disks in this series but this one, Satin Skies, is I think the best. I guess it's supposed to be background or therapy music, and I've listened to the whole disk, which to be honest is about ten minutes repeated for an hour. But it still is a great piece of "Ambient New Aged" type music as far as I'm concerned. If you don't have XM but like newer Patrick O'Hearn, Steve Roach, or other artists with long tracks of good electronic sounds, check this CD out!

Music for opening the heart

By Amazon Customer (Brownsville TX)

This review is from: Mindscapes, Vol. 3: Satin Skies

I have been using this music loop for meditation for six years now, and it continues to be amazing in its ability to both settle and open me, regardless of my state of mind when I begin.

The beauty lies among the flow

By Phil Baird (Fort Worth, TX USA)

This review is from: Mindscapes, Vol. 3: Satin Skies (Audio CD)

So! You think you are ready for the type of music that takes you really inside the place where no one else can go? Well, "Grab your things I'm going to take you home"--to quote Peter Gabriel from the classic--"Solsbury Hill".

Mars has found an incredible loop of music that truly allows you to visit the best part of your inner being whilst allowing for nuances that creep up on you through out the 75 minutes of beguiling melody. When you want to reach for something that provides for a respite from the daily stress and trauma of business and personal relationships that don't measure up--well, it's all contained herein.

Better than classic; it's life preserving!! Buy it. You will wish you had owned it sooner!!!
